Ripley Running Club – Weekly Round-up

WC – 9th November 2020

During Lockdown:

Well we are two weeks into Lockdown 2.0 and it’s been great to see so many Ripley runners getting out there and enjoying the challenges on offer.

Swanwick/Ripley 5k Loops – Week 1:

Week 1 of the lockdown 2 challenge and so far 12 members have taken on the challenge with a total of 19 runs completed.

On the Swanwick loop, timings were close for the top spot but yesterday Neil Worthy took the lead with the first sub 21 minute loop. Meanwhile in Ripley, Kerry Withington‘s second attempt of the week was the fastest time set with a number of members having multiple runs, with Kat Fletcher out in front completing 3 runs. Special mention to Zoe Naylor who also got her Dad, James, in on the action! Well done all!

Lockdown Loops – Results

To the Future:

As something to look forward to post Lockdown, Luke Beresford is planning a winter solstice run on the 21st December 2020 taking in the beautiful Ashover.

Get in touch if you’re interested.

There is also Luke Beresford’s Goyt Valley run post Lockdown once re-scheduled. Again, if you’re interested, just get in touch.
